A Windows 10 / 11 PC, a VRM 3D model and a VMD motion you have permission to use. You can also import MP3 or WAV audio. Check that your VRM, VMD and audio licenses permit your intended use.

Yes. VRM 0.x and VRM 1.0 are supported. Appearance can vary with model structure and materials. Known issues are announced with releases.

It counts unique VMD files registered during each usage period. Registering a VMD for the first time in a period uses 1 credit. It is not a limit on videos or exports.

Yes. Reusing a VMD registered in the same period does not use another credit when you change stages, colors, cameras or expressions, use it in another project or export again. VMD registrations renew with each period; first use of that same VMD in a new period uses one slot.

Only unique VMD quota and watermark differ. Free costs JPY 0 and includes 1 unique VMD per calendar month starting on the first day in JST. Creator costs JPY 2,980/month (tax included), with 7 unique VMDs per month from the subscription start date. Free includes a watermark; Creator does not. Features, presets and export quality are shared. Unused quota and VMD registrations from the previous period do not carry over.

Yes. Creator renews automatically at JPY 2,980/month including tax. The first charge is at signup; later charges are on the monthly renewal date from your subscription start date. There is no minimum subscription length. See Plan & payments for exact renewal and access end times.

No. Complete cancellation in Plan & payments before renewal; Creator remains available until your paid period ends, then you move to Free. Free quota already used in the same JST calendar month is retained, so cancellation does not replenish it. Undoing cancellation does not replenish Creator quota either.

Once Creator payment is confirmed and reflected in your entitlement, a new period starts with 7 unique VMD slots. A VMD used on Free uses one slot when first registered in the Creator period. Unused Free slots are not added to the 7 slots, and previous periods do not carry over.

Quota renewal or cancellation does not automatically revoke use of videos you previously exported lawfully. What renews is the VMD registration state and quota within ShortMVStudio. Rights and conditions for VRM, VMD and audio remain subject to each material's license.

Yes, for your own activities, including monetized YouTube, TikTok and X posts. Check the terms for your imported VRM, VMD and audio, and any credit requirements for presets.

Yes. Free / Creator are available when the VTuber operates the app for their own activities, whether independent or agency-affiliated. Staff or managers operating it on the VTuber's behalf fall under Operator.

A plan for staff creating official videos on a VTuber's behalf. Its standard price is JPY 9,980/month, with individual review by inquiry. Quota, number of performers and other conditions are presented before application. It is for authorized operators such as agency staff, video staff and managers. VTubers operating the app themselves can use Free / Creator even if agency-affiliated.

No. Free / Creator / Operator all prohibit commissioned production and delivery of videos for third parties. Operator is for official videos within an affiliated organization or operating team.

It depends on the preset. Any required credits will be indicated in the app. We plan to make the required text available in a form suitable for post descriptions.

No. User-imported VRM, VMD, audio and other materials are not used for AI training, or as inputs to generative AI for background generation.

Yes. ShortMVStudio uses Adobe's own Firefly models as the standard source for stage backgrounds. Generated images are selected and repaired by the operator, then finished as ShortMVStudio stages in Unity with floor, shadow, lighting and color adjustments, rather than included as untouched generated images.

ShortMVStudio uses Adobe Firefly models that Adobe describes as trained only on content it owns or has permission to use. According to Adobe, training includes licensed content such as Adobe Stock and public-domain content with expired copyright; it does not collect content from the web or video sites for Firefly training.

The initial version supports videos up to 60 seconds long.

The initial version supports one 3D character per video. Multiple characters are outside its scope.

The initial version is for Windows 10 / 11 x64. Mac is not supported.

No. ShortMVStudio is a Windows desktop app. The initial version does not support smartphones.

The initial version exports 1080 x 1920 / 30 fps / MP4. It does not support 60 fps.
